Basil Kirchin - Worlds within Worlds, Island 1974 (1784)

Basil Kirchin - Worlds within Worlds, Island 1974

Tracklisting:
1 Part 3 - Emergence
2 Part 4 - Evolution

Bloody hell ! Don't really know what to say about this to be honest.
Go over to Trunk records site for the full lowdown on Basil, it's a long story !
I bought this blind out of the £1 box at a small record fair and all i'll say is it wasn't quite what i was expecting.

I hated it at first and second and third, but i got hammered one night (never that, son!) and listened to the whole LP on the headphones (1 track each side) and was totally freaked out by the whole thing and how it hangs together as a piece of "music".

To quote Basil on the cover notes "One request: Please don't put this on as aural Wallpaper, or attempt to sample it in a record shop.
It won't work in these conditions.

Treat it as you would a Book or a Film, or a period of meditation, which require concentration of all these senses".
